There’s something irresistibly satisfying about a perfectly cooked steak. When you pair it with a homemade rosemary garlic compound butter, it transforms into a culinary masterpiece right in your own kitchen. This dish is not only delicious but also simple enough to prepare for a special occasion or a delightful weeknight dinner.
Pan Seared Steak
Ingredients
- 1 recipe of Rosemary Garlic Compound Butter
- 2 strip steaks ~1 inch thick
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 Pieces Rosemary (3 inches long)
Instructions
- Generously salt and pepper the steaks.
- In heavy bottom skillet add the oil. Heat on medium heat until the oil shimmers.
- Add steaks and cook for four minutes. Do not lift the steaks.
- Flip the steaks and continue cooking for 2 minutes.
- Add the rosemary to the pan and the compound butter on top of the steaks.
- Cook for 2 more minutes for a medium-rare to medium steak. *
- Remove from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve.
