Hot Honey Pork Chops

Servings: 4 Servings
Author: Rose Thicket Farms

Ingredients

  • 4 thick-cut boneless pork chops
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey or hot honey of your choice

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Score the fat on the pork chops and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the vegetable oil into the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the seasoned pork chops in the dish.
  • Combine the brown sugar and hot honey in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for about 20 seconds, then stir until the sugar begins to dissolve.
  • Pour the hot honey mixture evenly over the pork chops.
  • Bake for 20–30 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Turn the oven to broil. Broil the pork chops for 5–7 minutes, watching closely, until the glaze is caramelized and the tops are nicely browned.
  • Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
