Growing up, I never considered the difference between chopped and diced. I would roughly chop the vegetables, cook my meal, and serve. As I’ve gained more cooking experience over the years, I learned quickly that some dishes are better when the vegetables are cut smaller. Many of our recipes call for diced celery. Follow the steps below to learn how to dice the celery.
Steps
Wash and dry the celery
Cut off the end and the leaves.
Quarter the stalk. To achieve this, slice the stalk in half lengthwise.
Then cut in half lengthwise again.
Thinly slice the ends.
Now you have diced celery for your recipe.
