I’ve always enjoyed cooking, decorating and making spaces beautiful. I love to accessorize my home with elegant touches.
I found out that I had a wheat allergy about nine years ago and I was discouraged about cooking and baking. Then my husband and I started working together to reinvent recipes that were friendly for our household, delicious to eat, and beautiful to serve.
My goal is to help beginning cooks and gluten-free families make wonderful meals. Over the years, I have developed a passion for cooking and entertaining.
As a child, I can remember watching my mother create handcrafted items that she often gifted to others. She had an eye for detail and produced items using a variety of techniques. Both of my parents were craftsmen and taught me to do my best quality work which transfers into everything that I do. “If you don’t have time to do it right, you must have time to do it again,” was one of my mom’s favorite quotes that became the basis for my work ethic.
I strive to make my home beautiful by adding just the right embellishments to each meal or room. The time I take to create and personalize these tasks for my home brings me joy.
In addition, I love to garden. I thoroughly enjoy learning how to grow flowers and vegetables and working alongside my husband to create areas of interest in our garden. Each year I work to learn more about gardening and enjoy the fruits of my labor.
My passion for gluten-free cooking, beautiful decor, and cottage gardening drove me to create Rose Thicket Farms. Now, my followers worldwide can learn alongside me as I transform my home and garden.

I have always been interested in cooking, gardening, and art. From an early age, I would follow my grandmother around the kitchen trying to learn what she was making. She could just whip out the most delicious meals from nothing.
Then as a teenager, I began to wash dishes and bus tables in nice restaurants. I was always eager to learn something new from the chefs. I am excited to share the recipes and photos from our kitchen with you.
I have always appreciated art and I love when a piece tells a story. I started painting during COVID and taking pictures of my family. These photos have always been just for fun.
I was excited when Rachel asked if I would start to share the photos with the community here. I hope that each photo tells a story for you and that you get to slow down and experience the wonder, magic, and romance that exists in South East Texas.
