Smoked Salmon Canapés

If you need an elegant appetizer that’s fast and easy, canapés are for you! These bite-sized treats are perfect for the special events where you want your guests to know you put in the extra effort. They will be wowed by your presentation.

Smoked Salmon Canapés

Servings: 2 Dozen

Ingredients

  • 2- 5.3 oz packages Garlic and Fine Herbs Boursin softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1- 4 oz package wild caught smoked salmon
  • 2 dozen gluten free crackers
  • Fresh chives for garnish

Instructions

  • In a stand mixer using the whisk attachment, whip together the cream cheese and two packages of Boursin until smooth.
  • Prepare a piping bag with a large round tip. Fill the bag with the cheese mixture.
  • Arrange gluten-free crackers on a serving tray.
  • Pipe a dollop of cheese mixture onto each cracker.
  • Cut 24 small slices of smoked salmon and lay across the cheese mixture.
  • Garnish with chives.

Notes

For this recipe I recommend using Rose Thicket Crackers for the base. 
Variations
For the base of the canapés, you can use any cracker or cucumber.  
For the topping, you can substitute fresh fruit or vegetables for the smoked salmon as per your preference.
