Hot Honey
Servings: 12 Servings
Author: Rose Thicket Farms
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 Tbs red pepper flakes
- 1/2 Tbs apple cider vinegar
Combine the honey, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan.
Heat the mixture over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally and do not let the honey boil.
Remove from the heat. Strain the honey through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the red pepper flakes.
Pour the hot honey into a clean, airtight container. I like to use a Mason jar.
Allow the honey to cool completely before sealing and storing at room temperature.
If you want more heat, you can leave some of the red pepper flakes in the honey instead of straining them all out.
