Orange Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

12 oz
bag of fresh cranberries
1/2
cup
brown sugar
1/2
cup
granulated sugar
1
cup
fresh orange juice
about 4 medium oranges squeezed
1
Tbs
apple brandy
1/2
tsp
orange zest
Instructions
Zest an orange and set aside.
In a 3 quart pot, combine brown sugar, sugar, orange juice, and cranberries.
If available cover the top of the pot with a mesh screen to reduce splatter on the stovetop.
Bring to a boil.
Simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
Stir in the apple brandy and orange zest.
Cook for 1 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Cool for 1-2 hours.
Serve.
Notes
Be sure to read all labels for gluten-free.
The orange zest will turn bitter if you cook it too long in the cranberry sauce.
