Baked Brie En Croute

- 1 (8.5 oz)sheet gluten-free puff pastry Regular puff pastry can be substituted
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 (8 oz) wheel Brie cheese
- 1/4 cup pepper jelly or preserves
Line a baking sheet with parchment.
Unroll the puff pastry. Use a 9-inch pie plate to cut the dough into a circle. Place the Brie in the center of the circle. Brush the edges with the beaten egg.
Wrap the pastry around the Brie, pleating the dough. Leave the center open.
Press the pleated edges up to form a wall.
Brush the outside with the egg wash.
Freeze for 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 425 ℉. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Remove from oven and place on a wire rack.
Add the jelly or preserves to the center of the Brie.
Cool for 30 minutes and serve.
Be sure to check all labels for gluten-free.
